1970’s Ibanez 2372 Les Paul Recording/Personal.
Pre-lawsuit of course, but Ibanez at that time was arguably making better Les Pauls than Gibson was. We’ve touched on the whole ‘Lawsuit’ issue before in this post, but it’s far too interesting a subject and one that you could spend an awful lot more time talking about!
Unnamed Ibanez.
Seaside—suicide sent in this nicely taken shot of a guitar he got for Xmas a few years ago. Once again I find myself questioning my poor choice in family and friends - I mean, socks are great and all, but they don’t really compare…
We’re always looking for new guitars to post on Guitar Porn, so please keep sending them in! It doesn’t have to be one of the big names like Fender or Gibson as we’re interested in all makes of guitar, from the no-name, hand-me-down guitar you were given by the relative who used to play a bit, to the Fender that you worked all summer to save enough money to buy.
Send in a photo to http://www.guitarporn.co.uk/submit or email them to guitars@guitarporn.co.uk, we’ll post them on the site and instant Internet Fame and Fortune will be yours! (Erm….kind of. WE’LL think you’re awesome, and surely thats enough?) And if you’re in a band or have a website/facebook page etc then let us know and we’ll include a link for you.
We’ve added buttons to the foot of each post so that you can share your favourite guitars via Facebook, Twitter, Reddit , Email, whatever… and don’t forget you can like our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter to keep up to date and social-media’d up!
Ibanez AF84 Artcore.
These beauties aren’t just for jazz-lovers; their warm sound makes them perfect for blues and roots rock. And like most archtops and semi-acoustics they produce an incredible sound when plugged into a Boss DS-1.
Then into a Marshall stack.
Turned up to 11.
You get the idea…
Please submit your guitars to www.guitarporn.co.uk/submit or email them to guitars@guitarporn.co.uk
Ibanez Premium RG.
Many thanks go to Trey Reichle for sending in this lovely picture of ‘Rose’, his Ibanez Premium RG for our enjoyment.
Spector, Ibanez, Peavey and AXL Basses.
Travis Bazanele of the band Summer Soundtrack sent in this magnificent ensemble saying;
“My odd little collection of basses, just chillin on the couch. From left to right - Ibanez AEB5E Acoustic-Electric Bass, Spector SpectorCore Piezo-5 Lined Fretless Semi-Hollow 5-String Bass, Ibanez SR506 Soundgear 6-String Bass, Peavey Cirrus 5-String Bass, and AXL Badwater Capricorn Bass. I have recorded with all of them, and I greatly enjoy their different tones and timbres. Each bass is truly a unique animal.”

The first instrument i ever bought was the Ibanez Bass (far left) and since I been addicted! My most recent being the gretsch which I got for Christmas last year. I love it! My amps are a bog standard Orange Crush 20 and a Line 6 15 watt bass amp; although I’m planning on getting a Vox AC30VR in the next month!”
