Fender Marauder.
Ferkin-errsome is responsible for this lovely photo of the culmination of what has to be the longest running prototype stage in existence, the Fender Modern Player Marauder. Initially developed in 1965 as a cross between a Stratocaster and a Jaguar, there were only 6 copies built, and was featured in the Fender Catalogues, but for various reasons it never went into production - until 2011 when it was finally introduced as an entry-level guitar. Whatever the reason behind the delay we’re just glad it got here!
