Happinessismeasuredoutinmiles sent in this beauty with the following note: “My fathers old bass although I play it more nowadays, but he is a pretty skilled bassist compared to me. The bass is very fun and simple to play and has a great sound. It’s kind of rare bass in Sweden and rest of Europe.  Paul McCartney has used a more simple model when playing with Wings in 1979 (“Coming up live”, search for it on Youtube) and I am not sure but I think the bassist in “The Smiths” used a similar one. This is one of the luxury Yamaha basses of the 80’s, it’s all original Alnico pickup and a “soap bar” pickup. Three way switch; Neck pickup - both pickups - bridge pickup.  With that I use a Roland cube 60 amp from the same time”
